Load shedding (no power) and no water disturbs the rhythm of the day for the citizens and our guests in Melville. Guests of our B&B must be aware of the fact that taking a shower is not always possible and that power and WiFi is not always available. Due to load shedding we are not always available for bookings as we cannot guarantee our service and hospitality.

Your Hosts
In 2007 Anke and Maarten decided to follow their dream and change the landscape of their future when they moved from the Netherlands to South Africa. Anke works for an engineering Company in Jo’burg and Maarten (who originally) is a social worker by profession will be your host at the B&B. We love South Africa, we love our City of Gold Jo’burg or Jozi as many people call her and Melville is our community. Sharing the stories with you about the city and our community in Melville is something we like to do.
Melville will be your home far away from home.

South Africa is an amazing country with many faces. Almost 30 years into Democracy still hasn’t brought the necessary changes needed for every one. Only by working together we can build a better world for all and it is our commitment to be part of that process for our community.
The “togetherness of the Melville community” is amazing and part of our work at the BE MY GUEST Bed Book & Breakfast as we join hands with the people of Melville, NGO’s (e.g. NKOSI's Haven Village) and initiatives in our area and around Jo’burg to build a better future for all.
